Call for freelance journalists to participate in digital safety training
Rory Peck Trust and CENOZO are partnering to offer two (02) online training sessions on digital security to freelancers investigative journalists in the West African region. Please fill in the form below to have a chance to participate.
When? May 24, 2023 for Francophone journalists and May 26, 2023 for Anglophone journalists.
Who can participate? Each training session is open to a maximum of 30 investigative journalists.
Registration deadline: For French-speaking applicants, the deadline to register for the training is May 22, 2023 at 17:00 GMT and May 24, 2023 for English-speaking journalists at 17:00 GMT. Registered journalists will receive an invitation with a Zoom link.
Eligibility criteria:
- be a freelance journalist;
- working in collaboration with a media outlet;
- actively contribute to the newsgathering process as a reporter, editor, cameraman, photographer, etc;
- have worked as a freelancer for at least the past 18 months.
Training Costs: Training is fully funded by the Rory Peck Trust.
