ADISI-Cameroon and CENOZO sign partnership agreement

PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN ADISI-CAMEROON AND CENOZO

Douala, 06 December 2023 : The Association for Integrated Development and Interactive Solidarity (ADISI-Cameroon) and the Norbert Zongo Unit for Investigative Journalism in West Africa (CENOZO) have signed a partnership agreement to promote investigative journalism, access to information, data journalism, good governance, press freedom and the protection of journalists in West and Central Africa.

Through this partnership, the two organizations undertake to fight against any attack or aggression against journalists. They will therefore work to improve the protection of journalists in the exercise of their profession of informing the public and to improve the legal and institutional framework for the practice of journalism in West and Central Africa.

This two-year renewable alliance between ADISI-Cameroon and CENOZO aims to support quality journalism in West and Central Africa by building the capacity of journalists and raising public awareness of issues that affect the future of communities.

ADISI-Cameroon is a Cameroonian civil society organization based in Douala. For several years, it has campaigned for the defense of human rights, in particular access to information and freedom of expression. Its core business is information and information governance.

Created in 2015, CENOZO is a regional organization of investigative journalists based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. With more than 100 members from 16 West African countries, its mission is to promote quality and impact journalism in West Africa through capacity building for investigative journalists, conducting and publishing investigations, supporting journalists at risk, networking and advocacy.
